We are happy to announce that we have been working with a local butcher, to get our own beef cattle to your table. The Sanford Butcher Shop is a small family owned butcher in Sanford, Maine, they are USDA inspected and do a fantastic job with packaging our beef.  

• We are only selling the beef in halves and quarters at this time.
• Halves will run $5.50 per pound
• Quarters will run $6.00 per pound
• Each order will contain chuck roasts, chuck steaks, shoulder roasts, shoulder steaks, prime rib, t-bone / porterhouse, tenderloin steaks, top of the round, sirloin steaks, sirloin roast, london broil steaks, stew meat, hamburg, and more.
• For a ½, you will need approximately 8-9 cubic feet of freezer space.
• If you want to “go in” with another family / friends, that is great, but only one person contacts us / pays / picks up the meat.
• The sale of the beef is by “hanging weight”. This is the most common way of selling quarters and halves. This is the weight of the beef cow after the hide, head and entrails are removed. 
• On average, you lose approximately 25-30% of the weight upon deboning and cutting. That being said, for the cuts and the number of pounds you receive, the price can’t be beat, and it’s LOCAL! All beef is USDA inspected, and raised right here at Krochmal Farms.
